FAQ

How do I care for my leather bag? Leather is a natural material and requires gentle care. Avoid exposure to water, direct sunlight, or heat for extended periods. Clean with a soft, dry cloth and store in the dust bag provided when not in use. For more persistent marks, professional leather cleaning is recommended.

How long do I have to return a handbag? Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery for items in their original, unused condition with tags, dust bag, and packaging intact.

What if my handbag is damaged or faulty? If your bag arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order details. For manufacturing defects that appear during normal use, you have up to 6 months from purchase to request a repair, replacement, or refund. Repairs or replacements are not covered beyond 6 months, but local leather repair shops can often assist.

What qualifies for return/refund vs what doesn’t? Refund/Exchange allowed for: defective manufacturing (faulty zipper, stitching coming apart, broken hardware), provided you notify us within 7 days of receipt. Not allowed (excluded): change of mind/colour/style preference, normal wear & tear, damage due to misuse, natural variations of leather (e.g., natural markings, colour absorption) if these were communicated as part of product life.

What’s Not Considered a Defect Natural characteristics of genuine leather (such as grain variations, wrinkles, or minor surface marks) are normal and not considered faults. Wear and tear from regular use (scuffing, stretching, or fading) is not covered. Damage caused by water, overloading, improper storage, or cleaning with harsh chemicals is excluded.

Can I get a replacement if I’m outside the warranty? If your bag is outside the warranty period, we aren’t able to offer a complimentary replacement. You may purchase a new bag at the current retail price if you’d like a replacement.

Are your bags made from ethical leather? Yes. All Amâna bags are made from premium bovine leather. By choosing not to use exotic skins, we embrace a standard of ethical, refined luxury.

Return & Exchange Policy

Return Eligibility

  • Returns are accepted within 30 days of the delivery date.

  • The handbag must be unused, in its original condition, and returned with all packaging, dust bag, and tags intact.

  • Proof of purchase (order number or receipt) is required.

  • Items showing signs of wear, damage, or alteration after purchase cannot be accepted for return.

Return Process

  • Contact us first by sending an email to hello@amana.design within 30 days of receiving your order.​

  • Include your order number, the reason for return, and clear photos if applicable.

  • Once your return is approved, you’ll receive a Return Authorisation and courier details.

  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility, unless the item was defective or sent in error.

  • Once we receive and inspect your handbag, we’ll confirm via email whether your return has been approved.

Refunds

  • Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days of inspection.

  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the item was defective or incorrect.

  • If the handbag shows any signs of wear or is missing parts of the original packaging, a partial refund may be issued instead.

Exchanges

  • If you’d prefer an exchange for another style or colour, please specify this when requesting your return.

  • Once we receive and inspect the original item, we’ll dispatch your replacement (subject to availability).

Faulty or Damaged Items

  • If your item arrives damaged or develops a fault within six months of purchase, please contact us immediately at hello@amana.design with photos and details.

  • We will repair, replace, or refund the item to the best of our abilities.

  • This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by misuse, or natural variations in leather (such as texture or colour differences).

International Returns

  • International customers may return eligible items within 45 days of delivery.

  • Shipping, duties, and taxes are non-refundable. Return shipping costs are at the customer’s expense.

  • Please declare the parcel as a “Return of Goods” to avoid import duties on re-entry.

Notes on Genuine Leather

Our handbags are crafted from genuine bovine leather. Each piece has unique grain patterns, markings, and tone variations; these are not defects, but natural characteristics of real leather.
